...the most amazing aspect of the Mousawi trial is that for the first time in our history we're trying to execute someone for what he DIDN'T say. It may not seem like a big thing to you now...and indeed the Nazis started out the same way, that is: by going after the really "bad" people...the ones all the good people could agree "deserved" to be eliminated. Only thing was that in order to do it legally (to make it APPEAR legal and orderly), they had to change the laws...only a little bit at first...a change here a modification there...and no one really minded because they were assured this was all done to make them SECURE and safe from obvious "enemies"...and then, when the laws were changed and new ones in place...they came for whoever they felt like, including the very people who'd approved from the very beginning...AND their children...nothing is new. --------------------- |
