You've reminded me of what I appreciate most about Farid.
It's one thing to post an "intellectual" thread/response, and quite another to allow ourselves to be vulnerable on a personal/intimate level. Why is this?
Farid divulges both... he gives intellectually, intimately, historically, and personally. Vulnerably. No excuses. Maybe not always "accurately" or politely...
I wish he were my FATHER.
