...the religious fanatics who want a woman`s god-given right to rule her own body taken away from her and put back in the hands of her rapists, tell you abortion is a sin and more than that, they weep buckets for the murdered fetus etc. When abortion was illegal no woman stopped herself from getting one...the only real issue was that for the most part these back alley abortions were dangerous and caused the death or mutilation of thousands of women and girls...the fetus got killed anyway...it always does in an abortion...but with illegal abortions a good percentage of the mothers ALSO got killed...and Christians LIKED it that way. The advent of legalized abortions still resulted in the same number of dead fetuses...but the number of dead women plunged dramatically. If the Christians manage to make abortion illegal again, it will be with the full knowledge that not a single fetus will be saved, BUT...several fornicating and UNgodly women will be KILLED. Therefore, the Christian position is that they want MORE deaths, not less...and those of us who know what Christians are aren`t surprised at all. --------------------- |
