From Susan Sontag’s “Regarding The Pain of Others”.

“On the first day of the battle of the Somme, July 1, 1916 (WWI), sixty thousand British soldiers were killed or gravely wounded....thirty thousand of these in the first HALF HOUR (emphasis mine). At the end of four and a half months of battle 1,300,000 casualties had been sustained by both sides, and the British and French front line had advanced five miles.”

What isn’t mentioned anywhere is that these were all Christians...killing, maiming and raping other Christians. Why is that? Why is the religion of the Christians never mentioned when discussing the amount of killing and mayhem they are responsible for? Are they ashamed? Why are they so quick to point out that any common bandit is a MUSLIM? Why do they deny who they are....why NOT mention that Christians are murdering Christians and have been since they first became Christians? And murdering them in far greater numbers than Muslims ever did. And when have Muslims engaged in such acts of wholesale slaughter against their own as have Christians?

It seems being fair is “hating” to Christians...when you point out their own history to them....also mentioning America’s glaring errors is being “liberal”. Word games. The plain truth is that Christianity is the bloodiest religion ever....and that is because it was never officially embraced AS a religion but as a political device.

Also...WWI was the first time aerial bombardment of cities was conducted...it was a new kind of warfare and was expanded against Iraq's villages by the British after the war...maybe they were experimenting. No one had seen or felt such a thing before. Coupled with the fact that local Christians allied themselves with these same murderous British, is it any wonder that Semele happened? Or that there will be retaliation again when the Americans leave?

Our Christians still think that they should suffer no retaliation when they betray their countries of birth and heritage. Perhaps it's again because being "Assyrian" is nothing more than being Christian, with a fancy name added. As Christians, which is all they really are, our so-called nationalists are well used to treachery...to betraying each other for Jesus. In fact their sects EXPECT them to turn against those who are "not real" Christians...they expect to betray each other, they are even applauded by their priests for such betrayals so they must not feel there is anything wrong with treachery...maybe that's the reason they almost expect to be rewarded for betraying Iraq and their neighbors...because those neighbors and that country is MUSLIM..and so they HAVE to betray it to be true to their religion, which is far more important to them than anything Assyrian.
