right here...

"With the support Assyrians in the United States and Sweden, we hope to have the database re; and operational within a few years.61".

..I wondered why Dr Solkha was dragging these guys, including Parpola, to AANF conventions....and when I heard that Eden Naby had scolded him for yelling at them, "Giants" though they are, I suspected his anger was due either to the fact that he hadn't gotten his money's worth and was upbraiding them...or he was just pissed because they weren't coming up with proof so dear to every assyians heart...that they never really left their religion at all, just as Parpola says their empire "just continued"...so too did they in their faith in Jesus..."nothing changed"...right.

..of course not....but neither were the Assyrians...not even Hammurabi came up with those, they were much older...no society, no tribe, no city could survive if murder were NOT condemned..or theft...or lying...or blasphemy (in those days)...the Assyrians, properly speaking were not , "thousands of years"...in fact their empire was nowhere near "thousands of years"....you do what you all do, try to take credit for EVERYTHING in both the ancient and modern world.

...I said there are other experts, equally respected, who have entirely different references and conclusions....you can select what is pleasing to you, if you choose...and reject what you don't like....that's understandable....I prefer to look at all sides...especially when the person presenting this argument happens to be one of us...a very QUALIFIED one of us, who stood nothing to gain and everything to lose by pursuing this unpopular course...while I see every reason for Parpola to stroke our fantasies....but he's entitled to his say as all the rest...as you are...as I am.
>
>***Haven’t you heard of “Conclusions based on available data or evidence”?

...certainly...but Parpola isn't referencing all available data...and I'd say "conclusions" is misleading...since so many experts have differing opinions...also based on their reading of the evidence...at some point, if you're built that way, you want to start thinking for yourself....I'll admit I have an agenda...it is to legitimately raise as much resonable doubt regarding our claims to direct descent as I can in order to save the few Christians left in Iraq...and now, with a war likely against Iran, all those in Iran as well from being seen as nest of potential traitors...not because of what they do, but because of what those of you in the comfortable West say and do.

For instance, the recent visit to Tehran by assyrians from the West could come to haunt those who met with them....badly. If others can see there is doubt and dissension in our community, for these claims, it gives them even more reason than they have already to laugh at and then, mercifully, IGNORE such rantings and ravings such as "WE WANT OUR INDIGENOUS RIGHTS"...the same yell that caused so much misery to Native Americans in the 70s when THEY tried to get "their rights to their indigenous lands"...you nationalists are the main cause for the additional suffering of people who'd have it bad enough if you didn't add the taint of Treason to their woes...and for this agenda I'm as grateful as can be that one of US, the only one of us actually educated in this field, has achieved the distinction that he has...his writing and words and status will outweigh a thousand Aprims and Rosie's...while you all gamble with the lives of the inncoent Iraqi Christians, seeking more martyrs for your ghoulfests, Dr Joseph's words can reassure people that there is absolutely no basis to this calim of "indigenous" whatever.

That's my agenda...and for that I'll read anything you send me...unlike the rest of you who feel just fine commenting on books you've never read and have no intention of reading...what is Warda...an acountant....a taxi driver?....a waiter?...is he working now or retired with nothing better to do??? And I'll read HIS writing...who is Dr Joseph? A respected professional with an illustrious creer...and you nationalists see it as a point of HONOR not to read HIM!

Wullah ignorance and stupidity are assests in your assyria....and look at you all...you prayed for a Nineveh and went to bed with Bush only to wake up in the morning to Kurdistan...and you're STILL calling for what "you deserve"??? You actually want MORE???
