"Libertarians want to dismantle government and in its place allow corporate power to grow unhindered and unregulated. Libertarian Socialists, or anarchists, on the other hand promote a highly organized society where central authority is replaced with small neighborhood and work councils, by which everything is settled via a consensus. Then each neighborhood council and workers' committee selects representatives by direct votes to represent each body in a federated national union."

...this is what all the hot air and violence and wasted zillions has been about since the American Labor Movement came into being...a Movement that was THE single most American thing to ever happen. From that time, the wealthy have been fighting Labor and especially Unions and even moreso; democracy.

..that's what was behind the "fear of communism", just that, a FEAR of Unions, of the American laboring class to gain control or even influence over their working lives.

...since Unions were for pre-natal care, and a decent wage and other such "social concerns", as were the Communists, the American wealthy were able to make Unions synonymous with Communism which was "atheistic" to boot.

...but, before the trick succeeded, there were several Hollywood films which exposed this trick....but those efforts were eventually shut down as well....and the best way was to make news reporters part of the upper class...you didn't have to ORDER them to write in such and such a way, you just raised their salaries ten times over until they were in that upper class as well...and then, as Carlin said, there was no NEED for them to get together and "plot"...they just had the same, narrow self-inerests.

It's really eye-opening to look back on films like "Meet John Doe", by Capra, with Cooper and Stanwyck...they even have the fifth-column American zillionaire who is secretly a Fascist...and there are other films like it with the same message; watch out, the Fascists are rising.
