i'm not saying that the 3 Abrahamic faiths, in themselves, promote cultural constructs, such as gender norms, necessarily. i am saying that there has been a trend in the *followers* of these faiths, for a very long time, to infuse culturally biased perceptions (of sex, race, etc.) into the various manifestations of their religions. e.g. there are very sexist & racist "Christians" who USE their religion to promote their culturally biased perceptions of "others" (or in some cases, the powerless) & who often times project these perceptions onto their readings of their sacred texts.
