: The reason why the U.S. government may have wanted that service discontinued was NOT because it was helping the Iraqi military by forcasting U.S. military MOVES, but because Venik was translating *news* into English that wasn't as *doctored* as either the U.S. & Russian governments wanted it to be.

xxx This whole incident just goes to show that it's still "spy vs. spy". The Russians spy on the U.S. military, report back home with what's really going on, this gets translated into English by some guy thinking it's sensitive stuff, which it is, but NOT because it contains info about what's *about* to happen, but because it contains details about what has already happened & that news hasn't been "made over" yet by the commercial media outlets.
