: In a perfect world religion wouldn't exist. Fredrich Wilhem Nietzsche declared that God was dead, but what good did that do?

+++In a perfect world Nietzsche wouldn't exist. God is irrelevant...after that, who cares if he is alive or dead?

There was only one perfect Christian, the exemplar himself.

+++There were far, far, far greater people, men and women, than Jesus ever was. get off of it.

You can't kill a belief. If it is false, it will eventually die of itself. In the meantime we are confronted by our own mortality which each of us, believers and unbelievers alike must work out one way or another. I respectfully submit, however, that your argument doesn't hold. The issue isn't one sided, if it was there would be nothing to argue against, so there must be a good side to religion too.

+++Name it. religion means believing in one kind...and of course hating those who invalidate your "certainty", by refusing to accept its certainty...so, you HAVE to kill them.

As we live, we leave our history behind us,

+++Lord! Do we really?

I don't know what the future holds or how all of this will turn out and neither do you. I'm perfectly willing to let you work your side of the street, if you will refrain from lobbing bombs on my side.

+++You came on puking and vomiting on the block...not me.
