...a good case but I still don't buy it. It seems, using your own definition, that Evil was dreamed up BY Evil people...at least by people who could find no justification in Law to kill the children of those they labelled Evil...as against those who are merely criminal. ...why should it matter that Hitler was EVIL? His actions, like those of the Christian Church, all come under the heading of crimes. You can THINK about a crime all you want to...you can think Evil thoughts all you want to...but since actions that are Evil are also illegal, why not stop there? Not all crimes are EVIL...but every evil act is a crime somewhere. Even what the church did to incite hatred against Jews, leading up to the ovens at Auschwitz, was a crime...it was also Evil as hell...but we can stop at criminality...even where the church is concerned. Bush would have gotten nowhere saying the Iraqi children were committing illegal acts...the only way these Christians were able to kill Iraqi children with impunity was by claiming their parents were EVIL. I rest my case. --------------------- |
